Netscape Browser - kicking the bucket
AOL has announced that their system will no longer support Netscape’s Navigator beginning March 01,2008. Navigator has long been a competitor to Microsoft’s Internet Explorer which was so much the case when it was launched in 1994. It was the reason why the internet became the best and cheapest marketing tool on earth which created the internet with visual cures and displays allowing a boom in ads and profits. The leading browsers on the market to date are Internet Explorer and Fire fox (which if you do not know is owned and developed by the Mozilla Foundation which a Netscape employee created way back in the heyday of Netscape) The retirement of the browser comes at a bad time for many groups from AOL have tried to revive the browser to no avail being overrun by IE in the short time that was to be it’s life. Firefox, which is open-sourced has already taken an estimated 28% of browser use share besides IE and is growing more and more popular by the day.
