Everybody is being warned of the probability that attacks in the form of phishing scams aimed to obtain personal financial information this coming tax season. Tax payment season is fast approaching and the IRS has said it again and again that it will never contact you through email in anyway. More than 3,000% projected increase of phishing aimed at the IRS is expected to keep security experts on their toes. Scams are made to look as if they were legit with all the makings of an official document which would request the intended victim to fill out a form and send it to a link which sends your financial information to oblivion. Identity theft has become one of the most costly problems of the financial industry and security experts have warned again and again that one has to initiate preventive rather than find solutions to solve a problem.
